Branch was founded with a mission to restore insurance back to its original intent - a force for communal good.

As a fast-growing startup, Branch is in need of passionate, hardworking, and tech-savvy individuals to assist with business growth and development at every level of the company. Branch is searching for talented individuals from diverse backgrounds to shape the future of Branch through meaningful and engaging opportunities.

As we like to say around here: we’re getting back to getting each other’s back. And it all starts with a totally reimagined way to sell home and auto insurance.

There’s a lot of work to do - that’s where you come in.

About the Operations Manager role

We are a full-stack insurance company and have many insurance operations that we run, from billing to renewals to helping people change their policies (e.g., add cars, add drivers, increase coverage). We have built our operations to date by doing everything manually to start, and we have been automating processes and allowing customers to self-serve online over time.

We are now looking for an Operations Manager who would have three essential responsibilities around making sure our operations run as smoothly, efficiently, and delightfully as possible:

  1. Monitor (through reporting and other means) that essential operations are running properly (e.g., billing)
  2. Identify and prioritize operations that are running manually through our sales and service teams and third-party agents that should be automated, help specify how they should be automated for our development team, and validate that they are working properly once built.
  3. Identify and prioritize operations that require our customers to call, email, or chat in to our service center that could be self-served online, and help specify how they should be automated for our development team, and validate that they are working properly once built.

We have built out our teams with people of all experiences and backgrounds, who wish to work on teams that are collaborative and empathetic.
